Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective date: August 14, 2026
Last updated: August 14, 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how clients may cancel services or request a refund from Driftwood Digital Consulting, LLC (“Driftwood Digital,” “Driftwood,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This policy applies unless a proposal, service agreement, statement of work, or other written project document contains different or more specific terms.

How to Submit Written Notice

To cancel a project or recurring service, email wcapek@driftwooddigitalconsulting.com.

The email should include:

  • The client’s name or business name
  • The applicable project or service
  • The requested cancellation date

Email constitutes written notice. Text messages, voicemail messages, and messages sent through social media or networking platforms do not constitute written cancellation notice.

Cancellation is effective when Driftwood Digital receives the email, subject to the service-period provisions below.

Project Cancellation Before Completion

If a client cancels a project before it is completed, Driftwood Digital will calculate the value of the work already performed.

Unless a written project agreement states a different rate, completed work will be valued at the standard hourly rate published on the Driftwood Digital website when the engagement began. The current standard hourly rate is $75 per hour.

Completed work may include discovery, research, strategy, meetings, communications, planning, writing, design, development, implementation, testing, revisions, project administration, and other work performed for the engagement.

The refund will equal the amount paid minus the value of work already completed. If the value of completed work exceeds the amount paid, the remaining balance is still due, and the client will receive a final invoice.

If no work has begun, the payment will be refunded in full.

Completed or Delivered Work

Fees for work that has been completed, delivered, approved, or used are nonrefundable.

A change of mind, change in business direction, delay in providing client materials, or decision not to implement a recommendation does not create a right to a refund for work already performed.

Recurring and Monthly Services

Recurring or monthly services may be canceled by sending written notice by email before the next service period begins.

Cancellation stops future service periods. It does not retroactively cancel the current service period or work already authorized or performed.

Work completed but not yet invoiced or paid remains due. If notice is received after a new service period has begun, cancellation will take effect at the end of that service period unless Driftwood Digital agrees otherwise in writing.

Duplicate or Incorrect Charges

If you believe a payment was duplicated or processed incorrectly, contact Driftwood Digital promptly at wcapek@driftwooddigitalconsulting.com.

Please include the invoice number, payment date, and payment amount. Verified billing errors will be corrected without deducting completed-work charges from the incorrect amount.

Refund Method and Timing

Once the final refund amount has been determined and any necessary payment information has been confirmed, Driftwood Digital will initiate an approved refund within 10 business days.

Refunds will generally be returned through the original payment method when available. Payment providers and financial institutions may require additional time to post the credit.

If the original payment method cannot accept the refund, Driftwood Digital may arrange another reasonable method after verifying the client’s identity and payment information.

Payment Provider and Legal Requirements

Refunds remain subject to the operational rules of the payment method or provider used for the transaction and to applicable law.

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

Changes to This Policy

Driftwood Digital may update this policy as services, payment methods, or business practices change.

The version in effect when an engagement began will generally govern that engagement unless a written project agreement states otherwise or applicable law requires a different result.
